Five Things I want to Help My Audience With

My blog exists to help families connect with nature within their homes by bringing plants inside to grow. My hope is that families will be able to enjoy the beauty of gardening in a fun and easy way. Children can become nature lovers, even if they do not have access to the great outdoors. Plants, vegetables, herbs, and even fruits can be nurtured and grown by families.

  1. Empower families without access to land to grow a variety of plants in a climate-controlled manner

Families that do not have access to land in which to grow plants, vegetables, fruit, herbs, or plants will benefit from my site. I intend to learn right alongside you as I also want to learn how to grow and sustain my own kitchen. I want to teach people how to eat healthier and to be able to do that in a cost-effective way.

I also wish to show people that growing their own food can be extremely practical and enjoyable. My son was more apt to eat the zucchini we grew in our garden last year than the ones that we bought from the store. He helped plant, nourish, tend to, water, and harvest them. So he was literally eating the fruits of his labor! He was willing to try something he usually wouldn’t. Growing your own food is not only rewarding but empowering as well. You will have the ability to create a sustainable food source.

  1. Provide easy to follow guides and lessons to make growing fun for the beginner

I want to help my audience with a small child or children learn how to teach their children in an inviting way. That is not overwhelming or too difficult. Children learn best when they’re in a comfortable and inviting situation. I aim to create lessons and tutorials that will help the beginning of a grower or a child learn step by step.

When learning a new skill keep these things in mind: research and learning process, this can be done through reading books speaking with experts, watching informational videos, and scouring the internet. Then, the next phase is to gather your materials and products needed that I have become recommended by such research. And the last step is to just simply try it! As much as we hear that phrase just go for it and just do it, I know how difficult that can be especially if you struggle with self-doubt. But it is so incredibly vital that you just try something. Whether it be the smallest step as far as gathering a pot and some soil. You’ve done something and gotten traction and now you have a little more confidence and can go further. I will do all that I can to help you in this journey.

  1. Recommend only the best products and easiest plants for new growers

As I’m using the products myself, I wish I show families how to best use the products that I recommend. I will only share the products that I feel I would use myself for success. There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to make something work when you’re brand new at it and the products are faulty. I enjoy scouring reviews for products, but I also intend to use them myself and report back.

The plants that I will recommend will be the hardiest and easiest to grow. I want you to have success and will keep the plants at a beginner level. The plants will be a reward for all of your hard work!

  1. Help parents teach viable skills of growing plants in all situations to their children

Teaching children a skill that can positively impact them for the rest of their lives is such a wonderful opportunity! I’m excited to embark on this adventure with you. I myself have two young sons and I always intend to feed them the best. But how empowering to be able to grow your own sustenance! The skills that children can learn from their parents are more than what they can learn in any other setting. You have a captive audience and I intend to help you best utilize that attention.

Today’s children are plagued with too much screen time and a real lack of nature connections. I will share ideas of how to get children involved in growing and nurturing plants right alongside you. To be involved in nature in a way that they can see the benefits of. Plant-related crafts, games, and tasty treat ideas are coming!

  1. Write a weekly blog post to help families on their journey

Each week I intend to send out a weekly blog post on what I have tried and learned from my own journey. I will cultivate my research and put it into a compact and easily digestible format. Therefore, you are able to experiment with tried and true methods that you can actually use in your own home.

I appreciate the opportunity to teach other people, but to also learn myself, so I look forward to the accountability of a weekly blog post that helps me stay on track with my readers as well. Consistency is a key tool in almost everything in life and this is no different! So join me on this journey and I’ll see you every week from here on out.

Conclusion

I know that starting something new can be very scary and all the unknowns can be overwhelming, however, we all want something that we can nurture and grow. Whether it be your career, family, relationships a plant, or even your own food! With all of the mental health issues, anxiety, depression, and overall mental health issues that we are seeing more and more in our society, it is more vital now than ever to have something that we can control in a positive manner. I hope that this is something that is attainable, rewarding, and enjoyable for you and your family.
